Austrian Romantic Painter, 1793-1865 was an Austrian painter and writer. He briefly attended the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, however later had to finance his life by painting portraits. In 1811 he got a job as a teacher of arts for the children of Count Gyulay in Croatia. After 3 years he returned to Vienna and started to improve his skills by copying the works of old masters. Waldmeller later became interested in nature and thus started painting landscapes (genre painting). His most notable work lies in the depiction of nature, where his sense for colours and large knowledge of nature helped him to achieve masterly skills. In 1823 he made a painting of Ludwig van Beethoven. Philipp Hieronymus Brinckmann
(or Brinkman,) a German painter and engraver, was born at Spires in 1709. He was a pupil of J. G. Dathan. His favourite subjects were landscapes, but he also painted historical subjects and portraits; in some of the latter he imitated the force and colouring of Rembrandt. He was painter to the Court, and keeper of the Gallery at Mannheim, where he died in 1761. In the Städel at Frankfort is a 'Swiss Landscape' signed P. H. Brinckmann fecit, 1745. He etched some plates in a picturesque and spirited style.

Jacob d'Agar, född 1642 i Paris som Jacques d'Agar, död 1715 i Köpenhamn, var en fransk porträttmålare. D'Agar var elev till Ferdinand Vouet. 1675 blev han ledamot av konstakademien i Paris; men efter det nantesiska ediktets upphävande 1685, i egenskap av reformert och därigenom utesluten och tvungen att gå i landsflykt, begav han sig över England till Köpenhamn, där han av Kristian V utnämndes till hovmålare. Mycket anlitad av hovet undanträngde han med sitt franska maner det dittills i Danmark härskande holländska porträttmåleriet. Ett av hans många porträtt av Kristian V finnes på Gripsholm.
Abraham Brueghel
(1631-1690) was a Flemish painter from the famous family of artists. He was the son of Jan Brueghel the Younger, the grandson of Jan Brueghel the Elder and the great-grandson of Pieter Brueghel the Elder.
